Golf Cart License Plate Registration Delay

Sandy Pines Golf Cart License Plate registration has been delayed due to plate production. Our original timeline allowed for the registration and pick up of plates on August 1, 2019. Golf cart license plates are presently in production.  A firm date in which Sandy Pines will have these available to distribute has not been determined by the manufacture at the time of this update.  It is the intent to have these available in August.

We increased the order to four license plates per membership.  Originally our order included just the number of license plates for what members had listed as registered golf carts.  Ordering four license plates per membership will allow the Park to have the license plates in inventory and assist members with license plates when they add a second golf cart.  Watch the Sandy Pines E-News for updates.  Once the license plates are available you will be able to register your golf cart(s) on line via your member web access.  If you do not have computer access a paper form will be available at the Public Safety office or Member Service.  If registering with a paper form you will have to go to the Public Safety office to get the license plate and a golf cart vehicle identification number applied by Public Safety Officers.  Members have until August 31, 2020 to affix the license plate and VIN number to their golf cart.

If you haven’t already done so, please review all of the information along with the Golf Cart Registration Packet on our License Plate Page. You can also watch the Golf Cart License Plate Informational Meeting that was held in June.

What if another golf cart hits your cart rear end and damages your license plate? Who pays for a new one? What if you get hit by a hit and run driver? Not fair for the cart owner to buy when not at fault.

Those are instances in which you’d want to follow up with our Public Safety Office to let them know the circumstances.
